Terms of Use

Prototype version · Updated 23 August 2026

These are sample terms for a showcase website. They are not legal advice and must be reviewed and adapted before a real service is launched.

What KrishiStack is

KrishiStack is intended to be an open digital layer that helps farmers discover, compare, and use agricultural services from independent providers. The platform is not itself an agronomist, insurer, lender, pesticide seller, or government authority unless a production agreement clearly says otherwise.

Prototype status

This showcase provides illustrative mock features only. It does not create an account, collect data, offer a paid service, give crop advice, process a claim, or send communications.

Provider responsibility

Each provider is responsible for the accuracy, safety, authorisation, pricing, and regulatory compliance of its own service. Providers must clearly identify themselves, explain their service, and obtain necessary permissions before accessing a farmer’s information.

Farmer choice and portability

A core design principle is that farmers can change providers and carry their own records. A provider must not use platform access to block a farmer’s lawful choice, conceal charges, or retain records without a valid reason.

Advice and decisions

Any real crop, pesticide, fertiliser, credit, insurance, or market recommendation must be clearly attributed and should be verified with qualified local professionals and applicable rules. Farmers should not rely on a prototype screen as professional advice.

Fair marketplace conduct

Service comparisons should use clear criteria such as price, coverage, response time, and eligibility. Paid promotion, referral fees, or conflicts of interest must be disclosed. Rankings must not mislead farmers.

Acceptable use

Users and providers must not impersonate another person, submit false records, interfere with the platform, misuse farm data, or use the service for unlawful purposes.

Changes

A production service should provide clear notice of material changes and maintain an accessible version history of its terms and privacy notice.
